Darian Razdar is a writer, photographer, and textile artist with roots in the Great Lakes and Caspian sea basins. He integrates these mediums through independent practice and community engagement. His multi-valent work emphasizes poetics, landscape, abstraction, and collaboration. 

Darian’s writing has been published by the Toronto Star, Progressive City, PM Press, Pleasure Dome, The Asian Canadian Living Archive, Upping the Anti, Power Plant Gallery, and Metropolitics. His poem “Nest” appears in Vallum: Contemporary Poetry, issue 20:1, "Dreams vs Nightmares" (Spring 2023). In 2021, Darian’s poem “LAID BARE” won Power Plant Gallery and Toronto International Festival of Authors’ POWER TO THE POETS competition, juried by Elder Duke Redbird.

Darian is the designer and editor of COUNTER-MAP: A Poetics of Place (Reflex Urbanism, 2022) — a photo-poetry anthology including work from 13 artists and a map and essay created by the artist.

He has exhibited with BUNKER 2, Xpace, and CUE Art Projects.
